Having, spent the best part of the last 12/18 months writing and recording our album, it has been great to return to live gigs this month.
Our first show was at our favourite small festival, Castlepalooza on the August Bank holiday weekend.
Considering our last show was in Barcelona in November 2008, we were more than a little bit rusty but it was great to try out some new tunes and the crowd were great/sympathetic! Congratulations to Susanna etc on another great weekend.
Next up was an appearance at the D.E.A.F. fundraiser in Meeting House Square. It was great to be asked to play again this year as we have always been massive fans of D1 and their output (we were particular fans of David Donohues "First Course in Hygiene").
There was an added bonus of our track "Roads" being picked to be included on this years D.E.A.F. compilation cd.
We were happy with the gig as felt we actually sounded like Channel One again and even attempted our first ever cover - "Superscum" by Decal.
A big thank you to Eamonn and Karen.
We are very excited about releasing our album at the moment and our main news is that we will be launching it on November 6th in the Button Factory in Dublin. This is going to be a free gig so we would greatly appreciate it if everyone could come along and support us and purchase the album.
We will be announcing more live dates soon.....
